Free agent Jerami Grant has agreed to a three-year, $60 million deal with the Detroit Pistons, according to Shams Charania.

The Nuggets were willing to match the three-year, $60 million offer Grant received from the Pistons, but Grant ultimately chose Detroit where he is expected to have an enhanced offensive role, per Charania.

Grant, 26, averaged 12.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game for the Denver Nuggets last season.

The move reunites Grant with new Pistons general manager Troy Weaver, who worked in the Oklahoma City Thunder front office during Grant’s time with them from 2016-2019.

The Pistons have been active in free agency with the addition of Grant, Mason Plumlee (Grant’s teammate from the Nuggets) and Jahlil Okafor.
