The fear is that Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson has suffered a significant Achilles injury, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
Thompson is having an MRI on his lower leg tomorrow morning, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, who also notes that everyone around the Warriors are “very down.”
Several members of the organization are headed to Los Angeles to be there with him when he has his MRI.
The 30-year-old suffered the injury in a workout in Southern California and reportedly couldn’t place any weight on his lower right leg as he left the gym.
It’s just brutal news for Thompson who was fully recovered from his torn left ACL and was ready for the upcoming season.
