The Indiana Pacers are willing to keep TJ McConnell in their roster for the next season, according to J.Michael of Indy Star.

Indiana could buy out McConnell before the draft and save $2.5 million, but they are expected to keep him and his $3.5 deal around for next season.

“The Indiana Pacers will not buy out T.J. McConnell’s $3.5 million contract for $1 million, a league source with direct knowledge of the situation tells IndyStar, though they’ve yet to make their intentions official.”

McConnell, 28, came to Indiana last offseason and became a valuable rotational piece averaging 6.5 points and 5.0 assists in 71 appearances.
