TJ McConnell: My career has kinda taken off ever since Rick Carlisle got here

Indiana Pacers point guard TJ McConnell showed admiration for Rick Carlisle after the longtime head coach earned his 1,000th career regular season win in a 114-112 Thursday night road victory vs. the Charlotte Hornets.

“He’s a Hall of Famer. You don’t get to 1,000 wins without being a phenomenal coach. So, (I’m) honored to be able to help him get his thousandth. I’m sure he would have liked it a little bit sooner. But ever since he came here, my career has kinda taken off. So, I’m very thankful for him.”
