Erik Spoelstra shared his thoughts on Bam Adebayo taking blame for the loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 5.

The head coach of the Miami Heat said the entire team, including himself, is responsible for the defeat.

“I love Bam Adebayo and everything he stands for as a competitor. That’s why I think he’s developing into one of the great winners in this league.

And that’s much different than saying you’re just one of the best players in this league. He is one of the best players, but he’s going to become one of the best winners in this league — because it matters to him, he’s willing to take responsibility.

Of course it is not on him. It’s on all of us including myself,” Spoelstra said of the Heat center, via Nick Friedell of ESPN.

Adebayo finished Game 5 with 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in 38 minutes, while shooting 5-of-11 from the field.

Game 6 between the Celtics and the Heat is on Sunday. Miami leads the series 3-2.
