The NBA has made official its plan for a draft combine to be conducted in both team markets and virtually, beginning Sept. 28 through early-to-mid November.

“NBA Draft Combine is an essential part of the pre-draft evaluation process,” said Byron Spruell, President of NBA League Operations. “While the circumstances surrounding this Combine are unique, we’re excited to creatively deliver a valuable experience for our teams, who have remained flexible through the process, and for prospective draftees who are just beginning their NBA journeys.”

The new draft combine experience will allow players to participate in both league and team interviews via video conference from Sept. 28 through Oct. 16.

Players will participate in a traditional on-court program that includes strength and agility testing, body measurements, shooting drills and a “Pro Day” video.

This will take place in October at the NBA team facility nearest to the player’s home.

Medical testing and further examinations will also be performed by NBA-affiliated physicians in the same market.

The 2020 NBA Draft is officially scheduled for Nov. 18.
