Kevin Durant opened up about Giannis Antetokounmpo winning the NBA MVP award for the 2019/20 season.
Durant also addressed the voting process and the fact that LeBron James took just 16 first-place votes (out of 101).
“The criteria is the regular season, but I understand. I feel the same way you feel. I think that they should evaluate the whole season, playoffs included.
If you include the playoffs, then Bron is easily the MVP. But I see why, with the rules now, why Giannis was the MVP. His numbers [were] crazy,” Durant said, via Nick Friar of Nets Wire.
Antetokounmpo won the MVP award for a second straight season.
