Mike D’Antoni released an official statement and confirmed his departure from the Houston Rockets, confirming prior reports.
The veteran coach leaves the Rockets after four years, finishing with a 217-101 record during the regular season and a 28-23 postseason record.
D’Antoni thanked general manager Daryl Morey and owner Tilman Fertitta for the opportunity to coach in Houston.
The Philadelphia 76ers have already expressed their interest to hire D’Antoni.
