The Houston Rockets started with an impressive win in the WC semifinals, but they are also starting to think about their offseason, especially in regards to Mike D’Antoni’s expiring contract.

According to general manager Daryl Morey, the Rockets’ No.1 priority will be the extension of the veteran coach’s contract.

“It’s probably No. 1 That’s a fair way to put it,” Morey told Mark Medina of USA TODAY Sports. “We have all our key players signed. I think Mike coming back is super important.”

The Rockets as a team went all-in after trading for Russell Westbrook last summer. Also, they gave away their traditional center Clint Capela on February to play a smaller line-up with Covington and Tucker as their bigs.

Houston will face the Lakers tonight in Game 2 of the WC semifinals.
