Danuel House Jr. has been suspended for the season, after violating quarantine rules in Orlando “bubble”. It was the result of the NBA’s ongoing investigation into reports that the Houston Rockets’ forward had an unauthorized guest in his room for “multiple hours” earlier this week.

According to Ben Golliver of the Washington Post, a person close to the situation accused the NBA of a double-standard on how the league is handling the situation.

“If it was a star player, there’s no way [the NBA] would handle it this way,” said a person close to House with direct knowledge of the investigation. “They want to make an example out of somebody.”

The Houston Rockets are down 3-1 in the WC semifinals series with the Los Angeles Lakers. House Jr. was averaging 11.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest in the 2019-2020 postseason.
