Paul George exploded against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the first-round playoff series and made NBA playoff history.

The superstar of the Los Angeles Clippers went for a game-high 35 points (12/18 shooting, 4/8 from beyond the arc).

George became the first player in NBA playoff history to score that much in 25 minutes or less since the Shot Clock Era began in 1954-55.

Prior to Tuesday’s game, George had only scored a combined 34 points in Games 2, 3 and 4. The Mavs won Games 2 and 4.

The Clippers lead the series 3-2. Game 6 will take place on Thursday.
