Olympiacos Prepared To Offer Kobe $60 Million |

 The multi-billionaire owners of the Greek Euroleague colossus Olympiacos Piraeus, the Angelopoulos brothers, are preparing to make a serious run at Los Angeles Lakers' shooting guard Kobe Bryant in the 2009 off-season. Club sources with intimate knowledge of the Angelopoulos brothers' plans that will remain anonymous as requested, have confirmed upon query. The club is prepared to offer Bryant a 3 year $60 million contract.
Some perks being considered to sweeten the deal in order to entice Bryant to sign include: all his Greek taxes being paid by the club, all his agent's fees being paid by the club, a Mediterranean villa paid for by the club, a personal butler and maid paid for by the club, a car and personal driver paid for by the club, a boat and boat crew paid for by the club, and even the college tuition of Kobe's kids in the future being paid for by the club. As well as player options on both the second and third years of the contract. Even giving Kobe a cut of the club's 9 sponsorship deals is being considered. If all this isn't enough, the club is working towards a new, state-of-the-art NBA style training facility, a new private team jet, and a new, state-of-the-art NBA style arena that would seat between 15,000 to 20,000 fans as part of their sales pitch to lure Bryant by convincing him that he can help them mold the game on the old continent into a true rival to the NBA. This is the same club that signed the Atlanta Hawks' free agent Josh Childress over the summer to a 3 year contract worth $20 million net. Childress' own agent confirmed when asked that Childress is making the equivalent of an $11 million a year NBA contract. So Olympiacos is a club that means business about signing quality NBA players that are in their prime.
