According to Ian Begley of SNY.tv, top draft prospect LaMelo Ball is said to suggest the New York Knicks. The NBA Draft has been moved to a later date of October 16th due to the hiatus caused by the coronavirus.

LaMelo Ball is projected to be a top-three pick in the draft after having an impressive season with the Illawarra Hawks. The NBA lottery is on August 25th and the Knicks will be waiting to see if they get their first lottery win since they picked Patrick Ewing number one in the NBA draft in 1985.

Ian Begley said:

“As teams do their homework on players in the draft, there’s been a consistent theme about LaMelo Ball: multiple teams believe Ball and those in his circle prefer that he lands in New York. (Those teams have picks projected later in the first round than the Knicks, for what it’s worth).”

LaMelo Ball would be a great pick up for the Knicks in the quest to revitalize the New York Knicks franchise. Ball has the star appeal and he will have the ball in his hands a lot. The process of rebuilding the Knicks could start with drafting LaMelo Ball.
