Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel talked about the team’s new signing JR Smith and what he brings to his team. He stressed Smith’s shot making ability and his conditioning.
“It’s clear that he’s done a remarkable job of keeping himself in shape and staying ready… His nickname is Swish for a reason. He’s a shot maker,” Vogel said, per Harrison Faigen.
The 2016 NBA champion recently joined the Lakers as a free agent for the remainder of the season. He last played in 2018-2019 for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Smith will re-unite with his former teammate LeBron James in Los Angeles. The 34-year-old averaged 12.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game during his career.
