Three-pointers are the bread and butter of the NBA nowadays. Players like Stephen Curry and James Harden have broken records with their ability to shoot the three. Ben McLemore this season hasn’t attempted a mid-range shot.

It is not unlikely that he will be the only player in the next coming years that don’t attempt a three-point shot. Role players like McLemore are called on to shoot spot up threes rather than create their own offense.

The mid-range shot is more used for star players that want to create their own offense and make clutch shots. The NBA will develop more in the upcoming years. We will see where the three-pointer will go in the future.
