Shaquille O’Neal and Robert Horry named the toughest opponent the Los Angeles Lakers faced in the three-peat (2000-2002).

The two NBA legends went with the 2000 Portland Trail Blazers, who were eliminated by the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals (4-3).

“It’s probably the best team I’ve ever faced playing basketball, period,” said Horry in an interview with Howard Beck of Bleacher Report, with O’Neal adding “they were the toughest team and they were the only team that wasn’t scared of us”.
