With the cancellation of the 2019/20 Euroleague season, the signing game officially began. It was 90% sure that Nick Calathes wouldn’t continue playing for Panathinaikos. The 31-year old guard has been Panathinaikos’ leader and a key element for the club. After 2015, since his return to the Greek team, Calathes will say goodbye to the club he elevated his career at.
Calathes posted a short, but meaningful, picture on Instagram thanking his teammates and the fans of Panathinaikos saying “there were certainly nights to remember”.
