LeBron James has had an easier route to the NBA Finals, according to FS1 analyst Skip Bayless, who is back arguing with co-host Shannon Sharpe over the seemingly never-ending GOAT debate over Michael Jordan and the aforementioned James.
Despite the NBA remaining inactive amid the current coronavirus pandemic, said debate has intensified following ESPN’s release of The Last Dance.
Below is a clip of one of Bayless’ latest rants from the newest UNDISPUTED episode. The journalist argues that while Jordan had to go through a strong Milwaukee Bucks team and Larry Bird’s Boston Celtics twice, LeBron has had it relatively easy in 12 postseason trips.
Hopefully, James has a few more seasons left in him and will give us all a better base for comparison once he decides to call it quits.
The four-time NBA MVP was favored to win a fourth championship this season after missing out on the playoffs last term, with the Los Angeles Lakers having added superstar center Anthony Davis to the mix. But the pandemic has forced the league into a standstill and there’s no certainty as it pertains to a return to playing.
The possibility of the campaign getting called off altogether still looms. However, it’s been reported that, from all indications, the NBA will look to resurrect the season in a “bubble” at Disney World. It would also appear that the league is keen on collating feedback from the players as to whether or not they want to play again this season. Unsurprisingly, it’s understood that most players want to continue as long as every possible precaution is taken where COVID-19 is concerned.
In the meantime, though, fans can tune in to UNDISPUTED on weekdays to hear Skip and Shannon have it out over LeBron and MJ.
