Jeane Coakley, the wife of former NBA guard Scott Burrell, has offered a hilarious reaction to Michael Jordan’s mini exposé in The Last Dance that saw her husband basically branded a playboy.
Burrell was part of the Chicago Bulls’ championship-winning team in 1997/98 and, in the fourth episode of the docuseries, was shown getting teased by MJ about his nocturnal escapades during a flight.
“This man never gets sleep. Dennis Rodman Junior,” Jordan declared. “Single man, and he thinks he can hang out all night … If he committed to one girl, it’s a lie. He’s out every night.
“Get some sleep, man! You’ve got a hangover this morning.”
Burrell pleads with Jordan, telling him not to say stuff like that on camera because his parents will see the footage. But there was no let-up from His Airness.
“Mum and dad, he’s an alcoholic,” he quipped.
Burrell is now a married man, having wed Coakley, a TV reporter, several years after that regrettable moment on the plane. Coakley naturally became the subject of online teasing following the clip but her reaction was exactly what Scott hoped it would be.
