The Chicago Bulls search for their vacant GM role reached a conclusion. In particular, John Eversley, Philadelphia 76ers assistant general manager, will be appointed as the new general manager of the Bulls under executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

As a result, Eversley will become the first black GM in Bulls history. The Canada native climbed through front-office ranks with the Sixers, Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors the last couple of years. He also spent a decade working at Nike.

With this move, Bulls’ owner Michael Reinsdorf completely reshaped Chicago’s team front office starting with the hiring of Arturas Karnisovas. Furthermore, the Bulls’ longtime executives John Paxson and Gar Forman were removed.

While Paxson remains in an advisor role, Karnisovas and Eversley will run the organization with the Chicago Bulls striving to return to their winning ways.
