Real Madrid point guard Sergio Rodriguez has inked a new four-year deal that will keep him in the Spanish capital until 2018.

Rodriguez has been in fine form this season, helping his side to an unbeaten start in both the Liga Endesa (14-0), and the Euroleague (11-0). The Spanish international has averaged 12.2 points and 6 assists a game, domestically and in the Euroleague, the guard has posted numbers of 13.2 points and 5.2 assists a game.

At last summer’s Eurobasket in Slovenia, the 27-year-old was one of Spain’s most influential players, averaging 9.8 points and 3.2 assists a game, helping his nation claim the bronze medal. Without a doubt, Madrid have secured one of their high priority deals this year by keeping Rodriguez in the famous white jersey for four more years.
