Minnesota Timberwolves released a statement from a family spokesperson of Karl-Anthony Towns family in which it was announced that the mother of the NBA player, Jacqueline, has passed away due to complications as a result of COVID-19.
“Jackie, as she was affectionately known among family and friends, had been battling the virus for more than a month when she succumbed on April 13th,” the statement reads.
