Chris Paul opened up on losing the opportunity to become teammates with the late Kobe Bryant in the Los Angeles Lakers.

In 2011, the NBA (and then Commissioner David Stern) vetoed an epic trade that would have made Paul and Bryant teammates in Los Angeles.

The New Orleans Hornets were sending Paul to the Lakers as part of a three-team deal with the Houston Rockets.

As part of a recent appearance on the All The Smoke podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, Paul, a 10-time NBA All-Star, expressed his disappointment with how things turned out.
