The Minnesota Timberwolves released a statement to support Karl-Anthony Towns and his mother, who is battling the coronavirus.
Towns took to Instagram to post a video telling fans that his mother, Jacqueline Cruz, has been placed in a medically induced coma after she had contracted the virus.
For their part, the Wolves released a statement and expressed their support for Towns and his mother.
