Serge Ibaka of the Toronto Raptors recently featured on an episode of Danny Green’s podcast, Inside the Green Room. Both Ibaka and Green were teammates during the 2018-19 season and led the Raptors to the 2019 NBA Championship.

When asked about how he’s coping in quarantine, Ibaka answered that, at the time, he was on day 8 or 9. He stated that it was a difficult adjustment at first but he’s getting used to it now.

“First couple of days, it was kind of hard, but I’m getting used to it now, you know. I feel like my days have been passing fast. I just wake up, walk out, make some food… that’s it. I’m starting to get use to it, man.”

In addition, Green and co-host Harrison Sanford presented Ibaka with the question of what his initial reaction was to the NBA suspension.

“When I heard about the news.. I thought for maybe like just for a couple of days. Cause they were making sure everything cooled down a bit. And I didn’t really think that it was going to be for this long, like going forward.”

“I think it best the best decision the league could do because from that decision it’s going to help a lot of people. I feel like it was the best decision for everybody. The players. Fans. Staff. Coaches. Their families.”
