Fenerbahce officially reacted to reports about issues with payment to the players and head coach Zeljko Obradovic.
The Deputy Chairman of the club, Semih Ozsoy, stepped forward to denounce the rumors and explain the improbability of such a situation.
“I want it to be known that Zeljko Obradovic is a coach who always acts with his team and players. The biggest secret of all the successes he has achieved over the years is this tight commitment and harmony with his team.
Such prioritization for Zeljko Obradovic has never been on the agenda of Fenerbahçe Beko’s salary payments, and our coach receives his payments together with all our players.
As the closest witness that Zeljko Obradovic has always given priority to his team and players on all matters, including salary payments, I would like to point out that I find these speculations very purposeful.
I ask the members of the press that some people who want to create a negative atmosphere in our club do not become a tool for these thoughts and behave more attentively while preparing their news in the critical process of the world and our country. I ask from our fans that not to respect such news,” Ozsoy said in a statement.
