LeBron James decided to keep his ‘I Promise School’ open in order to help amid the coronavirus crisis.

James and his team announced that his I Promise School will remain open to support vulnerable kids who will need his program’s services.

According to Mark Medina of USA Today, the LeBron James Family Foundation decided that the school should remain open in spite of Gov. Mike DeWine’s announcement that public and private schools should be closed until the situation is fully contained.

“‘We need to make that happen. We need to do whatever we can to make that happen and make these services to stay open.

Having the Family Resource Center open is just huge. I was very happy that our school system allowed us to do that. They understand the importance of that for our families.

We built up this trust in having that available through the time. People are closing all over, and we’re doing the opposite,” LeBron James Family Foundation executive director Michele Campbell told USA Today.
