LA Lakers forward, Jared Dudley, says the Olympic Games will be postponed to 2021 following the NBA suspension and the coronavirus outbreak.
The league decided to suspend the season for at least 30 days, after Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz were tested positive for the virus. EuroLeague Basketball and FIBA also made the same decision, so it is very likely the Olympic Games will not take place this summer.
“That’s the word I think the NBA is getting that they’re gonna postpone it till 2021,” Dudley said in an appearance on Arizona Sports’ Burns and Gambo this week.
An official update on whether the Olympic Games will take place in July is now expected.
