Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob reacted to the Forbes’ list of NBA team values, which was published recently. The list was topped by the New York Knicks ($4.6 billion) and Los Angeles Lakers ($4.4 billion), followed by the Warriors ($4.3 billion).

According to Lacob, this valuation is not accurate. He has no idea how those numbers were calculated. Furthermore, Lacob claims that Golden State has ‘much more’ revenue than the teams above.

Per Bill Shea of The Athletic:

“Forbes is more of a general indicator. Its revenue estimates are understated for Golden State. We have much more revenue than the Knicks and Lakers. These are all estimates. I have no idea how they come up with these numbers.”

It is interesting to note that this claim comes in a season in which the injury-plagued Dubs are the worst team in the league (15-49).
