Jusuf Nurkic shared his thoughts on making his return for the Portland Trail Blazers after a 12-month absence.

Nurkic prepares for his return against the Houston Rockets on Sunday and revealed that although he wants to cry, he won’t.

“I want to cry. But I’m not going to cry. It’s more about the fans. What I expect, and what people talking, and how much positive vibes mostly from the fan base and Rip City as a city.

It just means a lot to me. So for the most, the hardest part is going to be when they announce my name to me to get off the bench, that’s going to be the hardest part,” Nurkic said, via Jason Quick of The Athletic.

Due to a devastating leg injury, the big man of the Blazers has not played in a game since March 25 of last year, when he suffered a compound fracture of his left tibia and fibula.
