BC Khimki’s players are threatening to go on strike over a dispute of missed payments, Russian media are reporting.

A player on the current roster has said that the club, who are currently in the Top 16 of the Euroleague have not paid the players wages for last month and some are still awaiting payments dating back to October.

“They always said that it will be okay and the money will arrive, but they have said it for the last three months. It’s enough. If we won’t get what we deserved we won’t attend games and practices ‘till the last penny will enter to the bank accounts,” said the player, who spoke to EuroBasket.com Russia under anonymity.

The current Eurocup holders have began well in this season’s Euroleague. Khimki are currently 2-0 in Group F, behind Caja Laboral who have played a game more. They are currently in Italy preparing for tonight’s clash with Montepaschi Siena.
