Former NBA champion and current analyst Kendrick Perkins is trying to understand why Derrick Rose remains with the Detroit Pistons.

“Why is DRose still on the Pistons? That man deserves to be playing for Championship! My God,” Perkins wrote on Twitter.

Rose led the Pistons to their 20th win of the season on Friday night, scoring 31 points. Perkins is still wondering why the 2011 NBA MVP does not play for a title contender.

Detroit, which will most likely miss the playoffs for another season, has no plans to part ways with Rose. The versatile guard and Blake Griffin are expected to be the leaders of the team next year.

In 49 games for the Pistons this season, Rose is averaging 18.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists.
