Rookie sensation Zion Williamson is special. Even Zion himself admits that. But if there’s one player that the 19-year-old can be compared with it’s Charles Barkley, says the Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

The 5-time NBA champion as a player and 3-time as a coach thinks that Williamson’s explosiveness and strength reminds Barkley in his prime, per Nick Friedell of ESPN:

“Probably Charles Barkley. If you look back at Charles when he was in his prime. That kind of explosiveness with the strength The ability to kind of get down hill, be a one man wrecking crew. That would be the first guy to come to mind for me.”

Barkley himself admitted that the first pick of the 2019 NBA Draft is even more explosive than he was.

Zion had another monstrous performance, this time against the Warriors as he scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds leading the Pelicans to 115-101 win in San Francisco.
