Xavi Pascual is considered the favorite to take over Zenit Saint Petersburg and replace Joan Plaza, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Russians are expected to part ways with coach Plaza very soon. At the same time, they are in talks with the Catalan coach, who is a free agent since leaving Panathinaikos in December 2018.
Zenit is on the bottom of the table in the EuroLeague with a 7-17 record, while the team remains outside the playoff zone in the VTB League (6-10).
