The full press release, translated to English:

“Few hours before the Istanbul Final Four, some electronic media chose to speculate regarding the future of the club, something which was dismissed by the club’s administration as a try to throw the team and fans off the track before the semi-final game against CSKA.

A few hours before yesterday’s final, a group of media again chose the path of disorientation, this time regarding the future of Zeljko Obradovic. We feel the responsibility to wards the millions of Panathinaikos fans to put an end to this crescendo of misinformation, so as the team plays the final game of the series with calmness, having prior knowledge of Giannakopoulos family decisions.

Since no one has come forward with an interest to acquire the club, the Giannakopoulos family will remain the club’s owners for next season as well, and as always we would like Zeljko Obradovic to build the Panathinaikos of the new era. Zeljko Obradovic is the cornerstone of the most successful Greek sports team of all times.

Without a shadow of doubt, he is one of the brightest members of the Panathinaikos family and an integral part of Panathinaikos, which is exactly why it is absolutely normal he is next to us for 13 years now and our intention is to keep him with us FOREVER, as long himself wishes to.”
