The Cleveland Cavaliers are still interested in signing a contract extension with Tristan Thompson, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

Fedor reports, though, that the team will not pay around the five-year, $82 million contract that Thompson signed during the LeBron James era. If Cleveland decides to re-sign Thompson, then the deal could be between $9-11 million per year.

Thompson has been included in trade scenarios over the past few weeks. The trade deadline expires on Thursday, February 6.
