LA Lakers head coach Frank Vogel claimed it was very special to be part of LeBron James historic night on Saturday (25/01).

James scored 29 points against the Philadelphia 76ers and passed Kobe Bryant on the all-time scoring list, moving to third place.

“It was a great historic moment for our franchise, for LeBron himself. Very special to be a part of,” Vogel told reporters afterwards, per Melissa Rohlin of Sports Illustrated.

Several NBA players took to Twitter to congratulate James, while the legendary Magic Johnson called the King a “Laker great”.

James now has 33,655 points and is third on the list, chasing Karl Malone (36,928) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387).
