Charlotte Hornets star Devonte’ Graham has spoken to media during the team’s first practice session in Paris today ahead of the NBA Paris Game 2020, which will see the Hornets take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the AccorHotels Arena on January 24.

On using this trip to bond as a team

Devonte’ Graham: “It’s great that we have the chance to travel together. A lot of us never came overseas, we’ve just seen the Eiffel tower, experiencing something with each other and this will last a lifetime.”

On his breakout season

Devonte’ Graham: “Just hard work. I worked hard and I made the most of the opportunity they gave me. We had two great point guards with Kemba [Walker] and Tony [Parker], so I had to step up into that role.”

On Tony Parker

Devonte’ Graham: “Tony and Nicolas [Batum], I know they get a lot of love out here and Tony gets a lot of love no matter where he goes. He is a legend.”

On Michael Jordan

Devonte’ Graham: “It’s great to play for his team. It’s great to talk to him about basketball, he is the best.”
