Jared Dudley posted five points (2/3 FG, 1/2 3PT), grabbed four rebounds, one block and zero turnovers off the bench in the Anthony Davis-less Los Angeles Lakers’ 129-114 victory over the Kristaps Porzingis-less Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center on Friday night. The Lakers (31-7) currently lead the West. After the game, Dudley talked on LA’s depth and his game:

“I don’t think people understand how deep we are. I was starting playoff games last year and now I’m 14th, 15th man, this is the role I wanted. … I would’ve been out of the league a long time ago if it was just about scoring. People have to realize, young generations, for me it’s positioning, knowing the players out there what they’re allowed to do. Luka (Doncic), we were sending him right the whole time. But for me it was, ‘hey, stay in front, take Luka’s 3-ball away and don’t foul,” Dudley said, per NBA.com.
