Philadelphia 76ers leader Ben Simmons set a new career high in his team’s 109-125 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

Simmons posted 16 points, 13 rebounds and a career-high 17 assists en route to his second triple-double of the season.

The versatile guard has been averaging 14.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists (fifth in the league) this season.

For their part, the 76ers have now won their last two games (22-10) and have recovered from their three-game losing streak.

On Christmas Day, they will host the league leaders, Milwaukee Bucks (27-4).
