Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points (a career-high 5 threes), grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out seven assists in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 111-104 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night at Fiserv Forum. The Bucks improved to an NBA-best 25-4 record. After the game, Antetokounmpo discussed lots of topics, including his past:

“I wasn’t the No. 1 pick, AD was, LeBron was. I wasn’t supposed to be here. I wasn’t supposed to go up against these two beasts. So I’m just happy that I’m here and happy that I’m going through the process and I always want to be better, do better for my team and that’s what gives me joy,” Antetokounmpo said, per The AP.

This season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.8 points, 12.8 boards, 1.3 steals, 1.2 blocks, and 5.4 assists per contest, while shooting at 56.5% from the field.
