There are quite a few players in the NBA that are realistically in contention for the MVP award this season. Basketball legend Magic Johnson listed 14 players in total that he considers MVP candidates. He sorted them in two tiers, with Tier 1 including eight of them and Tier 2 the remaining six.
The top MVP candidates, according to Johnson, are: LeBron James, Steph Curry, Joel Embiid, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, and Kawhi Leonard.
Tier Two includes Jaylen Brown, Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Paul George, Jayson Tatum, and Bradley Beal.
