Chance The Rapper will perform at halftime of the 2020 NBA All-Star Game in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

The three-time Grammy Award winner announced the news on Dec. 19 at his third annual “A Night at the Museum.”

The event was not just about the All-Star game announcement, as it was also aimed to help those without a home get through the cold winter months.

Chance and the NBA have ensured that they have matched their ultimate goal of creating a long-lasting impact in Chicago.

“Chicago is an iconic city with a storied basketball history,” NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a video. “We are thrilled to bring the NBA All-Star game back.”

Former NBA player Shawn Marion was also on hand for the event.
