Phoenix Suns star, Devin Booker, is excited to be part of a competitive team that has already exceeded the expectations.

“This city deserves it,” Booker said per Michael Lee of The Athletic. “I’ve been here, putting my head down, grinding, you know, these past five years, trying to get to this point, to at least give them competitive basketball.

So I think with the team that we have, the culture that we have, that coach Monty has put together, this is the best position that we’ve been in since I’ve been here, to make those dreams and aspirations come to life.

I’m in the middle of it right now, I’m not trying to get too excited but playing competitive basketball is something that’s keeping me going right now,” the versatile guard added.

Booker has been with the franchise since the 2015-16 season and wants to see Phoenix return to the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade. The Suns currently are eighth in the West, with an 11-13 record.

Booker is questionable for tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs in Mexico City.
