Euroleague legend Theodoros Papaloukas left Olympiacos and will continue his career with another European powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The club announced the signing of a one-year deal with the player.

34-year-old veteran spent the last three seasons in his native Greece with Olympiacos. Two-time Euroleague champion had one of the largest contracts in Europe and since the club wasn’t going to offer a deal to Paploukas he started for a club abroad.

Papaloukas became the second Greek player on Maccabi’s squad after Sofoklis Schortsanidis who joined Isreali champions last summer. Both players were teammates in Olympiacos.
