Real Madrid and Barcelona were the winners of the EuroLeague classic derbies against CSKA Moscow and Maccabi Tel-Aviv, respectively.

The “Whites” put on an offensive showdown against the Muscovites and outscored them 45-33 in the second half to cruise to the victory (97-81).

Real extended its winning streak to five games and improved to 7-3, whereas CSKA Moscow dropped to 6-4, after suffering its second straight loss.

At the “Palau Blaugrana”, Barcelona went on an impressive 41-18 run in the last 15 minutes of the game and decimated Maccabi Tel-Aviv (96-73).

The Catalans improved to 8-2 and remained on top, whereas the Israelis dropped to 6-4 and now are on a two-game losing streak.

In the other matches of the night, Baskonia defeated Zenit Saint Petersburg at home (70-60) and earned its second straight win to improve to 5-5. On the other hand, the Russians dropped to 2-8.

In Munich, Panathinaikos played very well on both ends and rallied past Bayern (75-87). The “Greens” now are on a two-game winning streak and improved to 6-4. For their part, the Bavarians dropped to 4-6.

Last but not least, Fenerbahce claimed its first road win of the season, after dominating ASVEL Villeurbanne (72-88).

The Turks improved to 3-7 in their attempt to turn things around in the standings, whereas the French dropped to 5-5.
