Hall of Famer Gary Payton thinks the Houston Rockets will struggle in the playoffs due to lack of defense. The Rockets added superstar Russell Westbrook this past offseason who is not famous as a good defender.

The team is also coached by Mike D’Antoni, an offense-first coach. James Harden also tends to save his energy in defense.

“They’re not going to be good in the playoffs because they don’t play defense,” Payton said on The Bounce.

The Rockets currently have a 4-3 record in the NBA and will have a tough task ahead of them in contending the Western Conference.
