Lietuvos Rytas already started building the team for the next season. Predrag Samardziski became the first signing of the club.
25-year-old 2.14 m FYROM national center spent last season in Turkey with Olin Erdine. The player averaged 12 points and 9 rebounds per game.
Samardziski will replace Trukish center Cemal Nalga who failed to make an impact in Vilnius.
Rytas was unable to reach an agreement with coach Aleksandar Dzikic so far. According to Lithuanian club, the conditions demanded by Dzikic are not acceptable by Rytas.
However, the official website of Lietuvos Rytas states that Dzikic remains on the radar of the club.
