Lauri Markkanen started the 2019/20 season in an explosive way, setting a career-high in the Chicago Bulls opener.

Markkanen scored 35 points and grabbed 17 boards in 34 minutes of action. This performance made him the first player of the Bulls to score 35 points in a season opener since Michael Jordan in 1995.

Chicago lost to the Charlotte Hornets, though (126-125).
