NBA legend Walt Frazier remembered the time when he got traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1977 after ten years with the New York Knicks.

Frazier said, per Darren Rovell:

“I was traded to Cleveland. It was like getting traded to Siberia. There was one reporter. On the weekend, there was no reporter.”

Frazier won two NBA titles with the Knicks – in 1970 and 1973. He was also a 7-time NBA All-Star. In 1987 he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The 74-year-old is currently a color commentator for telecasts of Knicks games on the MSG Network.
